1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how datemaker ("datemaker," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, start a trial, communicate with us, connect dating-app accounts, or use our related onboarding, dashboard, AI, automation, analytics, and concierge services (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not want us to process information as described here, do not use the Services.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through the Services and through direct communications with you. It does not apply to third-party dating apps, payment processors, websites, app stores, AI providers, analytics providers, email providers, or other services that operate under their own privacy policies.
The Services are intended for adults in the United States.

- Sensitive information you choose to provide: photos, precise or approximate location, physical characteristics, dating preferences, relationship preferences, sex or gender information, sexual orientation if you disclose it, and other sensitive personal information relevant to dating-profile support.
Please do not provide sensitive information that is not needed for the Services.
4. How We Collect Information
We collect information:
- Directly from you when you submit forms, create an account, answer onboarding questions, upload content, communicate with us, or connect accounts.
- Automatically through cookies, logs, analytics tools, security systems, and service infrastructure.
- From third-party services you authorize or use in connection with the Services, including dating platforms, payment processors, email providers, calendar tools, and authentication providers.
- From service activity, including AI analysis, operational workflows, support interactions, and connected-account actions performed at your request.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, personalize, and improve the Services.
- Create, review, edit, optimize, and manage dating-profile content and message drafts.
- Operate connected accounts at your direction and with your authorization.
- Generate AI-assisted recommendations, analytics, rankings, summaries, and message suggestions.
- Process payments, trials, renewals, cancellations, invoices, and account status.
- Communicate with you about onboarding, support, account setup, security, billing, service changes, and marketing where permitted.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, scraping, competitor misuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, and policy violations.
- Enforce our Terms, protect rights and safety, comply with law, and respond to lawful requests.
- Debug, monitor, and improve reliability, performance, and security.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for third parties' own advertising purposes.
SMS and Text Messaging
If you provide a mobile phone number and opt in to receive text messages, we may use that number to send service-related, outreach, support, and notification texts. Message frequency varies by use case: outreach messages may be sent weekly for up to 3 messages, back-and-forth text messaging may continue if you respond, and notification texts may be sent if you opt in based on the nature of the notifications. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, text-message opt-in data, or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may use service providers to deliver text messages, but they may process mobile messaging information only as needed to provide messaging services for us and may not use it for their own unrelated purposes.
6. Automated Systems and AI Providers
The Services may use automated systems and AI tools to analyze profiles, screenshots, photos, prompts, preferences, conversations, and related dating-app information. These systems may create drafts, rankings, summaries, suggestions, or operational decisions used to provide the Services.
We may send limited information to AI providers or infrastructure vendors when needed to provide these functions. We require service providers to process information only for authorized purposes and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing content before using, sending, or posting it.
7. Connected Dating-App Accounts
If you authorize us to connect to or operate a dating-app account, we may process information from that account only as needed to provide the Services, troubleshoot issues, comply with your instructions, maintain security, and document service activity.
Third-party dating platforms are independent services. Their privacy practices, terms, data collection, moderation decisions, account restrictions, and platform changes are not controlled by us.
8. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers and contractors that help with hosting, cloud infrastructure, AI processing, analytics, error tracking, security, payment processing, customer support, email, SMS, CRM, calendar scheduling, and operations.
- Payment processors such as Stripe, PayPal, or other approved processors for billing, fraud prevention, tax, and transaction processing.
- Authorized personnel who need access to provide, support, secure, or improve the Services.
- Third-party platforms you authorize when needed to operate connected accounts or provide requested functionality.
- Professional advisors such as attorneys, accountants, insurers, and auditors.
- Authorities or other parties when required or appropriate to comply with law, enforce agreements, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or respond to lawful requests.
- Successors in a business transaction such as a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
We do not allow service providers to use personal information for their own unrelated marketing.
9. Cookies, Analytics, and Do Not Track
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember sessions, measure performance, improve marketing, detect abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect functionality.
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. There is no consistent industry standard for responding to those signals, and our Services may not respond to them. Where legally required, we honor applicable opt-out preference signals or requests that we can reasonably recognize and verify.
10. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain accounts, comply with legal, accounting, tax, security, and fraud-prevention obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business operations.
If you close your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal information unless retention is required or permitted by law, security needs, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backup integrity, payment records, or legitimate operational purposes.
Inactive accounts may be deleted or anonymized after 12 months of inactivity.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include access controls, encrypted transmission, cloud security controls, monitoring, least-privilege access, and vendor controls.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your devices, email account, connected accounts, passwords, and login methods.
12. Your Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request to:
- Access personal information we maintain about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete personal information.
- Receive a copy of certain information.
- Opt out of marketing communications.
- Withdraw authorization for connected-account access.
- Ask questions about our data practices.
To make a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before processing requests.
13. California Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights under California privacy laws, including the right to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used under California law.
We use sensitive personal information only to provide and secure the Services, comply with law, prevent fraud or abuse, and for other purposes permitted by law. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics unrelated to the Services.
To exercise California privacy rights, contact us at [email protected]. We generally respond within 45 days where required, subject to verification and lawful extensions.
14. Children
The Services are not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we collected personal information from a minor, we will delete it as required by law.

16. Data Breach Notice
If we determine that a security incident requires notice, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
